we’re all waiting for this, Official “read more” links in blogger posts, Easy, guaranteed, and officially supported by Blogger.

For years and years all blogger users tried to place the read more links in blogspot blogs.
we published a tutorial here on allblogtools.com about this hack and how to do it by manually editing template HTML.

but it wasn’t working probably with all bloggers.

few days ago, blogger announced their latest birthday present:Blogger Jump Breaks.

By using Jump breaks you can show only a snippet of your post on your blog index page and archives.
Blogger will insert a read more link after each post so your readers can keep reading by clicking on this link.

Actually there is two ways to use Jump Breaks.

If you use bloggers new post editor, ( you can use it by enabling it via the Settings tab at your blogger dashboard )
You’ll find that there is new icon on the tab called “Insert jump break”

So while writing your post just click with your cursor where you want to add the Read More Link, And then, click on “Insert jump break” icon.

You can insert the read more link buy clicking on Edit Html tab while writing your new post,

And insert

 <!-- more -->

where you want the read more link to appear.
do it’ll look like the next image.

You can change the text “ Read More > ” by going to Dashboard >> Layout >> then Edit the Blog Posts widget.

And change it to what ever you want.

I’ll add very soon a tutorial about customizing blogger Jump Breaks to insert an image instead of Read More Text. Like AllBlogTools.com home page.

  Your Comment Here …. *I had installed-yesterday, instructions for hacking in code but it wasn’t working so I deleted that HTML and re-entered my old HTML. I then went to Post Templates and deleted the code they had me enter. Some of my posts are showing the entire post with Read More at the end and I can not remove it. It doesn’t show up in my POST’s HTML code anywhere. Other posts show nothing but the title. I need to fix these issues, before I follow your instructions. Do you know how to get rid of the code they told me and . I do not even see it in my text to be able to remove it. HELP
