Some people who are using Blogger’s “Simple Layout” (or “Picture Window Layout”) seem to be having a bit of a problem trying to align their banner images at the center of their web page. Fortunately, the pretty team over at TCBOTB created and shared an easy step-by-step tutorial that will help fix that.

Here are the steps to follow:

  • Head over to your Blogger dashboard.
  • Go to the “Design” page and proceed to the “Layout” section.
  • Click on “Template Designer” located on the upper right side.
  • Click on the “Advanced” option then scroll down to select “Add CSS”.
  • Add the following code below:
#Header1 {width:650px;margin:0 auto}

NOTE: You might need to adjust the specified width (650) depending on the size of your own actual image. Or you can look at the preview window and see if everything already looks OK.

Once you’re satisfied with the banner’s position, simply click on the “Apply To Blog” button.

And that’s all it takes to fix it.
