One of the most popular exchange services has closed down. AdBrite Exchange, the largest independent exchange service that served many websites around the globe, was a great option for bloggers and web masters other than AdSense but since its closure, people will miss this company for sure as it has been on the top list for advertising and it pays well too.
According to rumors, the company, which was founded in 2002 as an ad network first before becoming an ad exchange in 2008, has earned over 40 million dollars in its time of existence. It has sent out emails to advertisers and publishers declaring the closure at the end of January of this year.
Thousands of users have joined since its inception and so far, they’ve got their money issued to them.
There has been no specific reason and clues yet as to why the company closed down, though there are speculations that it’s due to financial issues. So now, publishers and advertisers are on the hunt for another AdBrite Alternative. Have you found your alternative?
